About the Calendar

The calendar for this fundraising project features art by David Hopkins, a third generation artist. David originally apprenticed and trained as a lithographic artist on transfer stones, and at times on hand litho plates. His work eventually evolved into graphic colour illustration, railway posters, apple case branding, and product labeling.

David has contributed to a multitude of illustrations and designs, nationally and world-wide, including corporate identity logos such as Cadbury's "glass and a half", as well as for the municipals, governments, and national companies. He has also written and illustrated for 12 Tasmanian books, which have achieved National and State awards.

This project has close meaning to David, where his wife and his close business partner have been living with Parkinson's disease for the last 20 years. It's David's hope that he can contribute to this project so that Parkinson's Research can continue to investigate how to improve the lives of those impacted.
